Say Goodbye Contact Paper
Last year we utilized what we call “sticky tiles” in our bathroom. This is the inexpensive flooring that you peel off the paper and lay down, instead of the more high-priced linoleum. I do prefer linoleum, but having these leftover tiles, produced an idea. It was time to replace the contact paper in my cabinets, so I removed it and installed these tiles in its place. That was the finest idea I have had in a long time!
Later that summer I discovered that, many people have leftover tiles after completed projects. I picked some up at a yard sale, to finish off what I had started. This is an expensive way to line cabinets, undoubtedly, but it is permanent. They are washable and nearly indestructible, at least for cabinets anyway. The hardest part about installing the tiles is removing the old contact paper. They cut easily with a razor knife, on a cutting board.
