Pulling Electrical Wire

Whenever a wire puller is on the short side, here is a sweet technique that easily does the trick. We utilized this method, pulling three strands of wire four-hundred feet, through PVC, in a matter of minutes.

  • Tie a plastic grocery bag on the end of a string that is long enough to go the distance.

  • Use a shop vacuum to suck the string (bag) through your tubing.

  • Attach the wire to the string and pull it through.

If you are using PVC, this will enable you to cement your PVC before you pull your wire. PVC adhesive corrodes the wire’s lining and causes difficulties down the road.
